I really think if Victorino didn't overthrow the cut off man, it would have been a different end to the game. That was just a panic kind of move because it put Youkilis into scoring position with 2 out.

Wow, that was looking like it was going to be the worst loss of the season, then Crisp doubles and Youk, with 2 outs, brings him in to keep the game alive. After that, it was all but guaranteed Ortiz would end it if they pitched to him (and I can't believe they did).

No way. Not with a young pitcher up there pitching against Manny. Instead of going after Manny he would nibble around and end up walking the run in. There is a reason managers don't pitch around Ortiz in those situation because Manny is there. Manny is a better hitter, no doubt. Ortiz, although great, has the advantage by having Manny behind him. I know this may sound stupid but Ortiz's main asset is that Manny is batting behind him.
