Re: Boston Red Sox - 2006

I give up, this team sucks. The sad thing is, this has been said a lot recently, but that was the worst loss of the season. That whole game it felt like the Sox were going to lose, of course they waited until the 9th to do it.

F that, there's still a month and a half left. It's definitely frustrating but lets be somewhat reasonable.

That was another Manny being Manny moment.

You have to at least get a throw to the plate in that situation.

What a 9th inning meltdown. Although Youk had a chance to cash in a run and didn't deliver in the 8th.

Yeah.

But it's almost laughable how this happens every year.

Get em tomorrow.

The runner was off on contact with 2 outs. It would have taken an absolute laser to get him at the plate. That one's all on Papelbon and the Red Sox bats for not cashing in on 9 freakin walks.

That wasn't a MBM anything (god I hate that term, thanks Millar).

It's just a mediocre fielder being a mediocre fielder.

edit: Along with what Cam said. Nothing Manny could really do.

I agree. 51 (?) games left, a bunch against the Yankees, only need to make up three. Nonetheless, this one stings worse than any this year. Its like they are trying to top it night after night. Papelbon gets another pass because if not for him we wouldn't be near 3 games out. Instead I'll blame the sucky offense. But Paps needs to get his head on straight out there and damn soon.

Re: Boston Red Sox - 2006

Im speechless. I don't think this team could possibly get any worse then they are right now. If it's not one person sucking it up then it's another person or the whole team in this case . Papelbon should have never been in the situation to lose the game, when you walk 9 times you should be able to put up more then 4 runs against the worst team in MLB.

Something needs to change...
