Anybody watching the game on ESPN? They were comparing the stats of the Red Sox and Yankees since the break and the Red Sox have allowed a surprising 20 earned runs to score since then. I guess that just goes to show you that everything truely is falling apart.

Downright astonishing that, while in the middle of a two races, while two of our biggest competitors play one another, that if we had a game (I won't use games, I don't want to be greedy) vs. the Royals, we could have picked up a game.

How often do you get a chance like this?

You're playing the cupcake team of the ML universe, while two teams you are chasing are beating eachother up, and you get swept?

I am stunned.

I know what you mean. I remember having the conversation with my dad that this was a win-win series for the Red Sox since the White Sox and Yankees were facing each other. They were bound to gain ground on someone! Hah, I can't believe they did the opposite. Thank Foulke/Manny/Ortiz/Schilling/Cabrera/etc for 2004 otherwise this would be 10 times worse.

Right now I'd be willing to dress up in a Shirley Temple outfit and give some mad scientist a handjob to go back to 04.

This is ridiculous.
