Re: Boston Red Sox - 2006

We can only throw in so many crappy pitchers in one day and Francona is putting in the worst for the day game I guess (hopefully). I mean it can't get worst then this can it?

Re: Boston Red Sox - 2006

Well, to at least look at the brightside not many of us can say we thought we had a great chance to win today with Jason Johnson going.

It stings because he pitched great, and we had our chances to knock Wang around. But that seems the case everytime the Sox play him. I don't know how he does it.

I can definitely see the Sox beating Ponson around like a redheaded stepchild tonight though. Hopefully.

He can spell Youk at first, and Lowell at third. We know Lowell has been battling an injury to the foot, and fouling a ball off last night isn't going to help anything.

The Red Sox weren't going to be able to add any quality pitching at or after the trade deadline. So thinking this move canceled out any possible deal to bolster the rotation and bullpen is moot.

It seems like a solid move that adds depth to the bench, and someone who is above league average to step in if someone were to get hurt.
