Re: Boston Red Sox - 2006

A-Rod is my idol Longhorn.

btw...when he scored on Jeter's base clearing double last night, he literally stood at home plate and stared down the Sox dugout for a good 3 seconds. Considering he did nothing all game, it was probably the most obnoxious thing I've ever seen. That said... I would hate him if he didn't help us out constantly.

He went 4-10 yesterday, and had a pretty big double.

However, considering how many runs the Yankees put up, it's understandable if you forgot.

BTW, Arod didn't score on Jeter's double.

That expression on Beckett's face and his body language was priceless.

Shrugging his shoulders and tossing his head up, just waiting for the season to be over.

Course it wasn't Jeter...it was Cano. Easy to lose track of the longest 9 inning game in baseball history.

A-Rod's four hits didn't really make a difference in the outcome of the doubleheader. He doubled AFTER the Yanks regained the lead, and made another error on a gimme grounder. And so far today, he's left 4 men on base to bail out Becket in the 1st..

Re: Boston Red Sox - 2006

We got this guy named Manny, he's pretty good.

3 run homerun for Manny then Willy Mo crushed ball down the left field line for a single and drove in a run. Red Sox up 4-3, Yankees have men on the corners with 1 out in the 5th because we can't pitch.

Arod comes through with a double to bring in 1. 4-4, 1 out bases loaded for Posada.

I think Theo gave Beckett his 3yr 30million dollar contract extension a little bit to early. It's rediculous how many balls he is throwing. He just walked Damon in and now Delcarmen is coming in.

His control wasn't there all day... This was a pathetic showing on his part. For a guy who thrives under pressure as he says, he sure has imploded so far this month...

Re: Boston Red Sox - 2006

I can't believe I saw multiple Red Sox fans standing up and cheering him.

I'm not one to turn on a player if he's going through a rough spot, but Beckett deserves no hometown love.

Stay quiet, boo some, but don't cheer is overrated, functionally ******** ***.
