And right now it appears Papelbon's arm is just severely fatigued, but no tears were reported.

That's huge news. It wasn't sounding good leading up to the MRI and I'm relieved its nothing serious.

Gabbard pitched well again. He's throwing his name into the hat for starter next year, especially if Lester can't go coming out of spring training.

Yes, I'd be surprised if he pitches again this year. He needs rest and then needs to strengthen his shoulder before pitching again.

I'd like to see them make him a starter, but not sure what they'll decide.
