But I don't understand sending a guy with health problems (in the past) out there for unnessecary innings. 3-2 game, then yea, maybe even 4-2. But I just don't agree with it. But it's all different philosiphies I guess.

Way to go "defensive replacement" JT Snow...

Lowell gets the error, but Snow should have come up with that.

Yea, that was the definition of a meatball.

Re: Boston Red Sox - 2006

Things are really breaking down when two gold glove corner infielders can't end the inning. It almost looked like Lowell was trying to use the turf intentionally but skipped it too close to Snow.

Yeah he's had health problems, but that should just mean they try to keep him under 100 pitches as best they can. I personally would have taken the 6-2 lead as an opportunity to send out Seanez or Tavares to help get them going but I can't say I disagree with sending Beckett out there. I can say I would not have brought in Timlin, and I have no confidence in him. Foulke is my set-up guy and he should have come in.

Also, in the hindsight department, I don't like bringing in Snow. Now Youk is out of the lineup and the game is tied. Snow should only come in as a defensive replacement in the 9th, even though Youk doesn't need a replacement as his defense has been great this season.

Re: Boston Red Sox - 2006

Loretta ends the inning with a nice play to preserve the tie. If the Sox lose this game it's going to make it real hard to win the series. I'm not payed to be an analyst, but I'd have to say the Jays have the advantage tomorrow as far as the matchup goes between starting pitchers (Halladay vs DiNardo).

Yea, Snow was billed by some (including me) to be a poor man's version of the '05 Olerud. He's been a dissapointment so far.

Here's Ryan, and we have the meat up. Let's see if Paps can hang with the big boys.

Re: Boston Red Sox - 2006

What happened to Beckett? I was just now able to tune in to the game and looking at his line looks like he crapped the bed in his last inning.

Did Timlin hang him with some runners of Beckett's that he let score?
