Re: Boston Red Sox - 2006

I'd rather not see Spier in the game. However, anythings better than Ryan.

And Papelbon continues to prove he's the real thing. Dominant.

1-2-3 for Papelbon. It's a battle of the closers, though I'd assume that was his last inning.

Re: Boston Red Sox - 2006

I wonder who we go to next?

Tavarez? Seanez?

My choice would be Foulke but he might be needed to close tomorrow if the situation called for it.

I'd go with Tavarez. Foulke should be saved for a save situation (either tonight or tomorrow, though a save situation tomorrow is unlikely with DiNardo being matched up against Halladay).

Anything is better than a Bob's commercial.

Looks like it will be Foulke in the 11th.

And that inning kind of showed how much the Sox miss Coco Crisp as they sent Harris, Gonzalez, and Snow to the plate. Amazingly, Snow reached base, as that was like sending out three automatic outs.

I hate it when Foulke throws his slider...

It wasn't so much the location, but it doesn't have any bite...it's really more like a cutter. Not a bad job to pull it nonetheless by Rios.
