I wouldn't say it's a one time thing, he's getting a try out as closer. Many around this board, including myself, have always thought Jorge would be better as a closer, b/c he can let his fastball loose in the mid-to-upper 90's rather than trying to harness it in the lower 90's. It's very clear he has some heat and a devastating slider when he can just let it rip rather than trying to save himself. He should continue to be successful.

So here we are, 32-44 and June 25. With 86 games left in the season. 15.5 out of 1st in the NL East and 9 back in the Wildcard. What are our chances to make the postseason? I know they are slim, for some reason I have a glimmer of hope again. I guess because we found a way to win a series. Yeah, that's probably it.

I have thrown out the possibilty of winning the division, but not the Wildcard. Obviously it would take a huge rest of the year but anything is possible. Maybe we can go on a mini Oakland-like run and win 10 in a row or something. I think we may need about 85-88 wins to win the Wildcard and that would mean we would have to go atleast 53-33 the rest of the way. That would mean to duplicate what the Tigers have done up to this point this year.

Obviously it's unlikely but we have gone on the same type of run a couple years back. I said I gave up hope last week, but I have that glimmer of hope back. We just took 2 out of 3 now let's see where we go from here. Lets build on it and take 2 of 3 from the Yanks as well, from there we can build on that also. ANything can happen.
