:y4:

I actually like this one, though...

But yeah, if I tire of this name (like all the rest) I'll probably just go back to the original. It's getting pretty silly.

Re: 2006 Atlanta Braves Discussion

LOL! Man.....this is funny.

Love the name, too bad he's a **yuck** Dodger, now.

Hot rumors regarding Andruw Jones to the Red Sox. I'm glad that didn't go through, but the guys @ BravesBeat were very adamant about the trade. It would have sent us Jon Lester, Hansen (their RP prospect), and Coco Crisp. That would have been a BIG trade, but I doubt I would have been a fan of it.

MadDog.....if the Braves are less than 5 out of the Wild Card when September rolls around, change it back to BraveWayne and bring this puppy home!

Re: 2006 Atlanta Braves Discussion

It's funny everyone wants me to change back to BraveWayne... I always hated that name.

Anyway, the more I think about it, the more I wish we could've made that deal with the Sox. Only if Lester was involved, though. I'm glad Schuerholz didn't settle for less.

Re: 2006 Atlanta Braves Discussion

I'll comment on the rumor since I was raised a Sox fan and Andruw happens to be my all-time favorite player. Had Lester NOT been apart of the deal, and we substituted a lesser arm like Bowden or Bucholz, I probably would have been on board. Andruw platooning center at Fenway might just be my biggest sports dream. But Boston simply couldn't afford to open up a spot in the rotation with 4 and 5 currently in major question. Lester has the chance to be a legit # 2, Hanson has end of the line stuff, and the Coco of last year is enough to believe he should be a very good player in Boston as he gets healthier. That said, aside from jumping out of my chair at work seeing Andruw's name on boston.com...it was way too much, especially since pitching was our number one goal heading into today's deadline. Maybe in the offseason when parts are interchangeable and the asking price is less...

Re: 2006 Atlanta Braves Discussion

Another homer for LaRoche, starting to think I should've picked him up for my fantasy team instead of Adrian Gonzalez...

Braves now up 2-0 over the Buccos in the 4th.

EDIT: Pirates get one back in the bottom half, 2-1.

3-1 Braves now in the 5th...

Holy cow! Another homer for LaRoche, 4-1.

EDIT: Anybody notice that Marcus Giles is hitting like Marcus Giles again? 3 doubles tonight.

Hopefully he's rewarding us for not trading his *** @ the deadline.

Re: 2006 Atlanta Braves Discussion

Damn, some screwy stuff here in the 9th. Renteria makes his first error in forever, then a ball bounces off third base. 4-2, Pirates have the potential winning run at the plate...
