Re: 2006 Atlanta Braves Discussion

I think the clock has struck midnight on Kenny Ray's Cinderella story...

EDIT: Frenchy goes yard, gets the Braves back to within a run. 5-4 Reds.

Now a double by Thorman, still nobody out...

Shoot, Freel just made a great diving catch. Look for that one on the highlight shows...

Braves have the bases loaded and nobody out in the 9th!

Crap, Mac pops out. 1 down.

Frenchy hits into a DP, Braves lose.

Baseball is too superstitious to pull anything like that. I don't move out of the position I am sitting in when the RS are in a rally. Let alone anything like a no hitter. Sick, I know.

I know, I'm ashamed of myself.

Jason Shiell starts tomorrow... barring a miracle, we'll have to look to Smoltz to avoid the sweep on Sunday.

Re: 2006 Atlanta Braves Discussion

*sigh* can we find another way to lose besides this. One series our bats are completely hot, then another they're completely cold. I think I would rather get blown out 15-4 every game than lose like this beause it's so hard to figure out how to play better. I mean the kid has a no-hitter going for a few innings, so you can't blame him. He's not even used to being a starting pitcher, IMO. One hitter isn't going to make the team better, it's frustrating.

Re: 2006 Atlanta Braves Discussion

If we can just somehow pull out tomorrow's game we'll have a great shot at winning 2 of 3. The offense is gonna have to be on fire tomorrow for us to have a decent chance.
