Re: 2006 Atlanta Braves Discussion

I'm hoping the Braves can get to .500 before the year is over, that would be nice. Hopefully I can get to one of the games this weekend.

Tragic number down to 4 for the time being, with an LA win against Arizona it becomes 3... And we now need to go 6-2 the rest of the way for an 81-81 finish.

Baez likely done with Braves

Quote:
"They signed [Bob] Wickman already, and I want to be a closer," said Baez, who saved 71 games during 2004-05 with Tampa Bay but struggled this season with the Dodgers and lost the closer job after four consecutive blown saves in a two-week span.

Re: 2006 Atlanta Braves Discussion

What's up with Davies?

He's like 23, so I don't want to be too hard on him... but he sorta sucks. Presently, anyway.

Though to be fair, they're not exactly hammering him tonight. Everything they hit just seems to drop in or find a hole...

Which basically means, we we're dumb to trade Betimet. As now the main guy in the Betimet deal won't be with us and hasn't done anything with us anyway. I like Aybar but Betimet was ready to be a starter.

2 homers for Druw, almost had another one his first time up. 39 HRs now...

Braves down 10-6, though.

Renteria singles with 2 outs and the bases loaded. 10-8 runners on the corners for Diaz.

EDIT: Diaz grounds out.
