..and here I thought the Giants were horrendous offensively... we should just marge into one team here. I looked at some stats.. Andruw Jones hitting below .200 is just unreal. I think that guy Saltamacchia should get more time in the lineup as he actually showed signs of life

Re: 2007 Atlanta Braves Discussion

Went to the game tonight. Braves fans were utterly annihilated by traveling Detroit fans. Braves fans literally just stood there and took it dry, which for me was surprising having grown up in Boston. The back and forth between Braves and Tigers fans was good natured all around, and pretty clean.

Overall, it was pretty bizarre for me seeing people enjoy themselves without cussing or telling dirty jokes in front of kids. I personally love perverse, sicko jokes, but it feels kinda twisted when telling them to little kids. I saw none of that from Braves and Tigers fans. Bizarre.

I wish there were some bars around the park. I mostly stuck to the outfield area, and didn't see any nearby. The area surrounding the ballpark seems pretty dead to be honest. Before the game I literally walked a block away from the field, and began to fear for my safety due to the sketchiness of the area.

Re: 2007 Atlanta Braves Discussion

Rumors about the Braves being interested in Buerhle floating around. That would be a step in the right direction. This is 2 horrible Junes in a row but this one isn't as bad, still only 4.5 out and bringing in a pitcher like Buerhle would certainly brighten up my day. The offense will start scoring some runs, at least I hope. As long as we don't fall too far back, we are stilll in it.

We have RUNS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Andruw gets intentionally walked with 1st open and 2 outs, whoever called that should be fired, and McCann hits a 3 run HR.

4-0 Braves

I was thinking the same thing about the Andruw walk. Why do you intentionally walk the guy with the worst average in the league? Oh well, we'll take it. Just gotta hold on here and get back on track.

Nice play by Edgar there, he was out.
