Yup...it's like you are getting a D all semester and expect to get an A on the final. Possible but definately not likely...the most this team has won is 5 in a row. The inconsistent pitching keeps us from any prolonged win streaks. It was still nice to see the guys pull it out last night though.

Re: 2007 Atlanta Braves Discussion

I just realized that this is the final year that the Braves will be broadcasted on TBS so it kinda sucks that they aren't going to make the playoffs which would fittingly be an appropriate end to what has been a successful 30 years on the station. I remember growing up watching Braves baseball every night on TBS and cheering for guys from the 95 Championship season like Wohlers, Lemke, Blauser, McGriff, Justice, Grissom, Klesko, and the list goes on. Boy im going to miss Braves TBS baseball...there's nothing quite like it. Guess I'll have to look into Gameday Audio or MLB TV next season just to follow the Braves.

Re: 2007 Atlanta Braves Discussion

Considering the Mets are on a slip-slide and their lead is down to 1.5 over the Phillies....if the Phillies take the division and the Braves can get to within 3 or 3.5 before their series starts next week, we can have a shot at the division.

You are not thinking about this right. The Braves are gonna be pretty much strictly a SportSouth team next year. They had already began the transition from TBS this year if you noticed. There has been very few games on TBS this year for the Braves. They have nearly all been played on FSN or the other games scheduled on ESPN. I too am gonna miss those TBS days but hey pretty much all the announcers from back then like Sutton,Skip,& Van Wuren are gone anyhow. You only see Skip occasionally nowadays except for his radio broadcast along with Pete Van Wuren. It's now become Simpson & Sciambi as the regular Braves announcers on FSN with Gant & Jordan filling in at times. Thanks!

Too late. Unless we play.900 ball the rest of the way. We had our chances and caved.

Yep. Imo we have to go 10-1 in the final 11 games to have a shot and, assuming the Phils take the division lead, that one loss cannot come against the Phils. Right now the main thing I'm hoping to see is Chipper winning the batting title.

Yep, I know....I'm just saying, it would certainly make things interesting at that point.
