Even though we got Glavine I still feel somewhat uneasy with the final 2 spots in the rotation regardless of who occupies them. The candidates don't exactly blow me away. Chuck James struggled this past season so im wondering what form we will get from him in 2008. The excellent rookie season Chuck James or the mediocre 2007 season Chuck James. We obviously can't expect anything from Hampton, if we get something it's a bonus. I feel JoJo Reyes needs more seasoning in the minors because he gave up way too many HRs when he pitched. Lance Cormier stunk up the joint. Buddy Carlyle showed potential at times but wasn't consistent enough. Anthony Lerew was injured most the year so he obviously isn't ready for the Majors yet. Jeff Bennett was outstanding in his 3 appearances but still has little experience although I wouldn't mind him or Chuck James in the 5th spot. All im saying is that I would feel better if we could aquire one more starter just to be on the safe side.

The Braves left-hander injured his right hamstring in the first inning of his first start in the Mexican Winter League last week. He left after one inning, and it's uncertain if he'll pitch again this winter.

It ticks me off to no end that we are paying this guy 15 million this year...insane. If he had a conscience he would ask for a release from his contract...he'll never play another inning of pro baseball.

Seriously how does he keep getting hurt? I swear If I were to look up the definition of fragile in the dictionary I would see Hamptons picture with the word underlined and highlighted in bold underneath it.
