The most overpaid athlete in history? Maybe.

I might give that title to Darren Dreifort.

At least Hampton DID something for more than one year before he signed his payday...

Re: 2007 Atlanta Braves Discussion

I was pretty optimistic early, but by now I had pretty much given up on him contributing anything this season.

See you next year, Mike... maybe.

As BG said on Braves Nation, Hampton will never throw another pitch in the Majors.

Even tho I have no idea what he is up 2 with his sorry *** arm but I'd take the bet that he atleast makes 1 more start in the MLB with some team and then hurts his arm again.

He's a very very very rich man tho

Re: 2007 Atlanta Braves Discussion

Man that whole LA staff was overpaid with Dreifort, Brown and Park (well his big payday came with Texas).

Anyway glad the Braves gave up nothing in that trade to get Hampton. Spoonybarger has not done anything and actually hasn't been in the league since 03. So I say the Braves won that deal....maybe not.

Re: 2007 Atlanta Braves Discussion

Well atleast our young arms have looked pretty good so far. Hampton is money wasting away.

Another TBS game, and a rare Skip Caray broadcast.
