Nice post. Why is it we get stuck with a **** pitcher in some shape or form every year now?

They showed a graphic earlier, the Braves have more runs scored with 2 outs than with 0 and 1 out combined...

Speaking of, 2 more this inning. Francoeur's on fire.

Cuz that's just how it is. Can't wait to see what surprises they have in store for 2008.

Re: 2007 Atlanta Braves Discussion

Do you guys think the Braves need to start looking for a starting pitcher via trade? Not only does Redman suck but James and Davies haven't exactly been pitching well like everyone expected.

C. James: 4.22 ERA in 21.1 IP with opponents batting .302 against him.
K. Davies: 0-1 with a 6.19 ERA and 11 BB in 16 IP
I won't even post Redman's stats so far as we all know how ***** he has pitched.

EDIT: Maybe a trade wouldn't be the answer after I just heard Chip and Joe talking about Villarreal and McBride possibly being emergency starters. I do however think something needs to be done about the back end of the rotation.

Chuck James will settle down. The verdict is still out on Davies.

Yeah I do not know what to think about Davies because even in his first year he won games but his WHIP was like 1.5.

Re: 2007 Atlanta Braves Discussion

Kelly Johnson's really taken to that leadoff spot, hasn't he? 3 walks and 3 runs scored, Braves back up 7-6...

Frenchy looked so bad early that last at bat, then worked it full before being called out on a pitch well off the plate. Still, he's having a lot better ABs lately.
