Sounds like the kind of talk comming out of Sully when the Phillies beat the Mets in Philly 2 out of 3 early last year.

How that work out?

Seriously, I think at the end it will come down to Philly and NY in the East. But the Braves should be in there 'till the end. The Marlins as always will be pesky.

Can't f'n wait. Didn't get out to Tuner Field last year, but this year. You better believe I'll be making the 45 minute trip.

Hampton Update

Quote:
"I thought he was good today, real good," Braves manager Bobby Cox said. "He was free and easy [in his delivery]. Mike's not happy he's not 100 percent yet, but for me, there's been no setbacks. Today was a good day."
Quote:
Hampton is tentatively scheduled to make his spring debut with two innings in the sixth game March 6 vs. Washington, but tentative is the operative word.

"I'm not ready right now," he said. "I don't feel like I could go out there for 30 pitches and consistently let all my pitches go with confidence that everything's going to be all right.

"It stinks. But you can't get discouraged. There's probably going to be some ups and downs."

The usually loose, dry-humored Hampton seemed serious, almost somber.

"I'm not getting on the mound till I can help the team," he said.

And just an FYI, ESPN will have the Braves/Pirates game Friday afternoon.

Already set to record on my DVR Anyone know if MLB.tv is doing a free Spring Training trial this year like in the past?

This is going to be a very exciting season! I haven't looked this forward to a Braves season in a long time.

Smoltz looked dominant in the 2 innings he pitched against the pirates today. The funny thing is Smoltz threw a first pitch Knuckleball to LaRoche just to mess with him.

P.S. Braves won 5-4
