2011 Florida Marlins

If any other Marlins fans even exist

I'm liking the make up of this team, I think another playoff berth is on the horizon if not this year then definetly in the next 2-3 imo.

I dunno why, but I always loved watching the Marlins. They draft so well and they always have young exciting players to watch. Stanton looks to be the next big thing in Miami.

Isn't this the last year before turn into the Miami Marlins? Florida Marlins sounds so much better.

Re: 2011 Florida Marlins

Yeah Stanton looks to be the real deal offensively and he was actually decent defensively in RF. The majority of the tops prospected they've acquired are now in the MLB, so now it's time to hopefully win some more games.

Yeah this is the last season in Sunlife and the last as the Florida Marlins, Miami Marlins sounds so stupid but whatever

Re: 2011 Florida Marlins

Looks like Matt Dominguez should start off with the Marlins barring any meltdown offensively, which means our lineup would be locked in for the next few years.

We draft so well only to ship guys off because we are either to cheap or we won it all an just go on a fire sale.

Re: 2011 Florida Marlins

I really hope they don't start Dominguez at 3B this year. Put Scott Cousins in CF and Coghlan at 3B where he belongs and give Dominguez one more season to work on his plate approach. He ht .252 last year in AA. Seriously?

Re: 2011 Florida Marlins

Another year might not hurt, but I've seen him play a bit in the spring and his approach looks a lot better and the results are there so far. Everyone on the team says his defense is amazing and that he's ready for the majors, but well see. Coghlan hasn't worked at any other position at all in spring so if they decided to wait on Dominguez, they would prolly go with either Wes Helms, Greg Dobbs or Bonofacio in the IF
