2015 Boston Red Sox Thread

Spring Training is upon us, and you know what that means! After a long offseason of Free-agent signings, and trades, we've seem to put together a pretty solid team. Opening Day is April 6th at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

Rusney Castillo to be out "some time" due to Strained Oblique. Mookie Betts pretty much has CF locked up for now.

Re: 2015 Boston Red Sox Thread

Goals for 2015:

1) Don't trade the moon for Cole Hamels.
2) Don't finish in last in the division.
3) Don't trade the moon for Cole Hamels (worth repeating).
4) Give guys like Rusney, Mookie, Xander tons of playing time.
5) Integrate Rodriguez/Owens/Swihart/etc to main roster so we can prepare for extended runs.
6) Wait for Yoan Moncada (One can hope by late 2016!)

Red Sox "May explore" an extension for Mookie Betts. Hopefully this means he's off the table in any trade talks not involving a superstar.

Re: 2015 Boston Red Sox Thread

I keep forgetting to post this, but Mookie hit an inside-the-park home run the other day on Sunday. I'll allow it.

Christian Vazquez to miss entire 2015 season to Tommy John Surgery. Not bad enough it's an epidemic with pitchers.

Im going to guess, over throwing at a young age, or he was a pitching and started throwing a curveball to early
