Ok. I gotcha.
I was born in Ohio but moved to Houston when I was 2. I did move back to Ohio in Junior High but came back 3 years later.
I have always been an Astros fan and a Rockets fan (though I no longer watch the NBA and haven't since 1997).
I was always a Penn State fan but dumped them when they fired Joe Pa. It didn't have anything to do with the scandal, I would have stuck through that. It was firing him over the phone and treating him like **** that got me. I don't fault him, I also know the the Board had been trying to run him off for more than a decade. They used the scandal to get rid of him and scapegoat him. **** them.
My #2 school was always Notre Dame so they are #1 now.
As for Chelsea, I didn't get into football until later in life. I knew I wanted to follow a Premier League club and refused to follow United. The only other real criteria was that I wanted a bigger club that would be on TV a bit. I did lots of reading over the course of a season and started crossing clubs off my list based on what I learned. My final list was Chelsea and City and I ultimately chose Chelsea.
I became a Steelers fan when I was in Kindergarten in the 1979 season. I did it, initially, to piss off my sister who loved the Oilers. When Pittsburgh won the AFC Championship over Houston, I was hooked.
I'm also a hockey fan. I chose the Penguins at a young age simply because there was no Texas or Ohio teams and I was a Steelers fan. I was probably 7 (1981) when that happened.
