Re: **The Official New York Yankees Thread**

Girardi said it but man I haven't seen the stadium so alive in years. Gardner strutting after a homer. Judge hype running around the bases.

I love this team.

Girardi is lucky he has the bullpen and offense he has.

Starting an unrested Severino proved a mistake.

What a game to start the playoffs. This team is building that magic. Looking forward to what should be a classic series with the tribe.

The bar I was at in my neighborhood was rocking last night. Lots of fun.

Baseball wise, I start Sonny game 1. Tanaka is awful on the road and I’m not sure Sevy is the answer so soon after he got rocked last night.

Sonny Game 1, Sevy Game 2, Tanaka game 3.

Re: **The Official New York Yankees Thread**

I like that a lot. I agree Sevy can't start yet in game 1. Sonny's first start as a Yankee was in Cleveland, he went 6, gave up 4 runs but only 2 were earned. I'm pretty sure we had terrible defense in the first inning of that game. He's as safe a bet we have. Like you said, Tanaka has been bad on the road.

Severino pitched twice against the Indians this year, once at home, once on the road, both times went 6.2 with 9 strikeouts, 1 ER in the first, 3 in the second.

Looks like Joe is going with Sonny Game 1, CC Game 2, and saving Severino for the home games.

Re: **The Official New York Yankees Thread**

Girardi is more concerned with a pitcher's rhythm than challenging a bad call that loads the bases.

Re: **The Official New York Yankees Thread**

It's just now hitting me the true level of garbage that he was spewing. You don't want to take a pitcher out of rhythm? It would've been the 3rd out. The dude had just loaded the bases on a HBP. What rhythm was he in that was in danger of being interrupted? Bull****.

It goes back to my beef with him. He simply won't ever admit he made a mistake or did something wrong.

It's always some backwards excuse to throw everyone off and act like he was thinking at a higher level than the rest of us.
