Not confident in the pen, especially the back end. Rondon is not right.

I expect a big dropoff from Hammel to Anderson/Montgomery/etc.

Re: 2017 Chicago Cubs

Eh. I think it'll be fine. I still really like Davis his spring training is meaningless to me. Strop, Koji Uehara, Montgomery, Edwards, Grimm is still really solid if Rondon is still off.

Yeah the 5th spot is more of a question mark and considering we won't get 1st half Hammel anymore but I feel like considering the offense will be better I think they'll be fine in that area.

Here we go...Opening Night for the World Champion Cubbies.

It'll be weird to see Dex in a St. Louis uniform. He wasn't a Cub for very long, but it feels like he was.

4 games in, Jason Heyward is leading the team in hits. I think no more than 2 of the 5 hits have been solid contact.

Baseball is weird.

It's not too early to address the bullpen

Re: 2017 Chicago Cubs

The starting pitching is starting to concern me. Giving up some runs in the first inning. Need to look for another starter or two.

So when does the Schwarber-leadoff hitter experiment end? He's been awful the last couple of weeks.

Re: 2017 Chicago Cubs

the starting rotation is still the bigger concern imo. it feels like every game they are down 2+ runs after the 1st.
