Re: Detroit Tigers Roster Thread

By the way, I would suggest upping Josh Anderson's speed. I've seen a couple websites that mention Josh Anderson maybe eventually taking over in centerfield and moving Granderson to left because Anderson is faster than Grandy is...so I'd at least make them equal in terms of their speed rating.

Blasphemy! Granderson is the man in CF, even if he's not the fastest outfielder. Josh Anderson is still a backup OF.

^^Yeah I will give those a shot, I have been looking for some good deliveries/stances for those guys.

Does anybody else think Verlanders sig delivery is way off? I was looking for one that was better.

Re: Detroit Tigers Roster Thread

Will anyone be editing the new rosters today that should have all the players already in the game? If so, do you guys load them to OS or a roster vault? I'd like to start another Tiger season soon with accurate rosters and will defer to your expertise in creating them.

Re: Detroit Tigers Roster Thread

The new roster is out and I don't know if they touched the ratings much. Miner is rated higher than Edwin Jackson and Perry isn't given much love. Larish sucks pretty hard as well. But the players are all in the right spots.

Re: Justin Verlander

Way off aint tha word!

Just watching his opening inning in his April 11th start vs. Texas. The near perfect delivery for Verlander IS Scott Shields--no doubt about it. Ben Sheets doesn't work because:

1-when Verlander takes that back step on the mound, the glove goes from CHEST level to his waist level and up again--Sheets' doesn't do that.

2) upon execution of his pitch, Verlander has the 'recoil/follow- through' towards the first base side of the mound--Sheet's follow-though is IN FRONT of the mound.

I know most of us who do this, look, don't look or don't care for certain things (or benchmarks as I've called it), but there's no missing on this one.
