Ronaldo: I am facing the same predicament as you, however, I think (I dont quite understand this bug 100%) that this problem only occurs if you load the official roster and then amend it with Knight's rosters.

So I think if you're offline and just get the SCEA update via usb we should be good! hmm right? Ah I dont give a rat's *** about RTTS, I just play exhibition matches anyway!

Not sure about this guys, but it's appears as if it's all to do with the roster load program...I've tried loading any roster (offline) and it still glitches...

It's nothing to do with any roster specifically, it's the loading that's the issue which appears to be causing the glitch.

How come? are SCEA morons for continuing to release weekly roster updates although it glitches when loaded? And sure there is a way around that, but surely they must fix this in a patch...does anyone know yet exactly what the patch does? not that I will be able to get it, since I'm not connected to PSN.

Hey gtm, do you want to know why we are always getting screwed with these sports games? Why are they always releasing them when they know their are issues to be dealt with? Because they know, no matter what we are still going to keep buying them. Its like an athlete who is constantly in trouble. They don't care because they know another team will pick them up, and pay them their millions, and the fans will never wisen up and refuse to go to games. That being said, this is IMO the best baseball game i've played, even though it has issues. I am kinda down about finding out that one player in this forum used David Ortiz to pitch on Veteran level, and he threw a one hitter in 6 innings. I don't give a rats *** if he was playing on pre-school level, Ortiz should not be able to throw a one hitter.

You are right. No matter what roster you load, the career stats get screwed up. I applied the lasted SCEA roster update and edited all the music. I then saved it and turned off my PS3 to help my son with his homework. Once I went back to the game I loaded the rosters and before I wanted to start my franchise I checked Teixiera and Rodriguez' stats and they were swaped again. I then went on to delete the saved roster and downloaded SCEA's roster again and made my edits. I saved it and started my franchise w/o loading my saved roster and just used my "current" roster and lo and behold I was good to go.

Ninjoid is definitely onto something here regarding the way the roster loads. Great find. Hopefully SCEA can verify this and fix the issue.

Re: Workaround to load rosters without historical stats glitch

Someone posted a fix a while back for the stat overlay issue, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. If I'm not mistaken, I would have to start up a new Franchise without going into any exhibition games, batting practice, etc. on startup of the system.

Does that sound about right to anyone else?

I believe I read that as well Sdawg...that's what I have done and I haven't seen anything like you mention or out of the ordinary.

Ckarlic - what you could have done rather than deleting your roster, is just go online, apply the SCEA roster (it does it automatically, but you needn't save it) and then load your roster - it works each time...the roster isn't the problem, it's the load...I've made numerous edits to Knight's roster over the past few days, I just need to make sure I go online prior to loading it up...your original roster would have been ok to load, just go online prior to loading it.

Hope that helps, it's quirky I know and I hope SCEA fixes it..I have PM'd Russell with the details.
