Complete newbie needs help...

So after reading these forums, it appears that this game is not ready to play right out of the box. I'd like to start in Franchise mode. Playing Madden, I don't think I had to be concerned about what EA gave as updates, but it appears that the Sony updates for this game are subpar. Is that correct? Why?

Where would I find the better updated rosters? Are they influenced by the author's team biases or are they just name changes, etc.? How could I assure that they'd be used for my Franchise mode?

What rosters are used for online play, Sony's or ones from this board?

What's the talk of the CPU screwing something up (starting lineups?) unless you manually injure your players and use 30 team control about?

This seems really complex and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Man, to get the most updated, top-of-the-line rosters, simply sign in to a feature called SportsConnect. It should be very easy to see which rosters are good, and which are bad.
