    All Star - Analog Sliders

Since there is not many analog sliders out there, and i got bored with zone hitting(TNK Sliders). I occasionally fell a slept with pressing buttons. Therefore, I decided to give Analog a try. Here is what I come up with.

I hope if others who are using Analog can give me some feedbacks and we can move forward together!

    Here is my Sliders:

    Human Contact - 7
    Human Power - 4
    Human Timing - 5
    Human Foul Frequency - 5
    Human Solid Hits - 4
    Human Starter Stamina - 5
    Human Reliever Stamina - 2
    Human Pitcher Control - 5
    Human Pitcher Consistency - 6
    CPU Contact - 5
    CPU Power - 2
    CPU Timing - 4
    CPU Foul Frequency - 5
    CPU Solid Hits - 3
    CPU Starter Stamina - 5
    CPU Reliever Stamina - 2
    CPU Pitcher Control - 5
    CPU Pitcher Consistency - 6
    CPU Strike Frequency - 1
    CPU Manager Hook - 6
    CPU Pickoffs - 5
    Pitch Speed - 4
    Fielding Errors - 7
    Throwing Errors - 5
    Fielder Run Speed - 2
    Fielder Reaction - 5
    Fielder Arm Strength - 3
    Baserunner Speed - 4
    Baserunner Steal Ability - 4
    Baserunner Steal Frequency - 5
    Wind - 4 (3 is okay, too)
Injury Frequency - 6 (If you tend to sim a lot, you should consider adjust it to 5)

    Hitting interface - Analog
    PCI - off
    Bunting Interface - Classic
    Guess Pitch - off

Hitting View - Custom1 (Offset inside part of the plate)
I think it's better than catcher view more realistic. Spit Bubble has an article related to this. It does not necessarily give you a better stat but it changes the game. Strongly recommended

    Pitching difficulty - All Star
    Pitching Interface - Pure Analog
    Pitching Ball Marker - Fade
    Pitching View - Broadcast
    Pitch Callout - Full

    Balks - on
    Warm Up Pitchers - ON
Throwing Interface - Buttons (Analog Throwing difficulty - All Star)

Re: All Star - Analog Sliders

I've been getting some positive things w/ the sliders.
The hits combine both teams are around 15 (if your pitch got too much of the plate, CPU can take it out of the ball park easily.. which I think is close to the realistic)
There are lots of variable of hits I pretty much get different result each time (the default setting tend to hit the ball to the opposite field)
The strike outs combine are around 12 (if you don't chase the bad bad balls)
It's not that easy to throw right at the corners
      --
I will keep updating things, and I'm actually trying with different teams to see if the sliders are reliable because the Mets is actually a good contact team.

The slider is actually working well and thanks to some ppl who pm me for the advices. The numbers and stats I currently have are not far from the real stats. However, I'm not using Red Sox, Yanks, and some other 1st class team, I have tried with M's Cards, Reds and Mets. The numbers are pretty decent.

My sample might still be too small though, if anyone is interested in trying it out, please let me know how you think, I will be really appreciated. After all, Some might be better at hitting, some might be better at pitching. I don't want to namely too easy.

I have played one game with these sliders and I beat the giants 4-3 when I was the cardinals. I had carpenter pitching vs lincecum and I had 10 hits while they had 9.
But the best thing was I was hitting bloopers and a couple in the gaps and one home run. With the other sliders I only scored on home runs. The CPU had no home runs and scored 2 on a throwing error. They also had a throwing error.

I agree with you, timing and zone was kind of boring. I'd fall alseep also... lol... I'll give your sliders a try and post my results. I'm going to start playing a franchise with the Seattle Mariners.

No, it's not. Because I don't think it's tuned 100%. But I would appreciate it if you try it and let everybody know the result. I:wink:

I have people tell me that they hate analog pitching. In that case, you can combine the TNK slider with meter pitching and use analog hitting, that also works for some people. Might as well try it out

Good stuff, hopefully, you can try it a few more game to see how it works.

Thank you for these...will try out this evening! I have been looking for a realistic quality ANALOG set. I just could not get things to be realistic with the "TNK & PsychoBulk"set with analog pitching/hitting.

NOTE: Users will find it easier with the THROW METER - OFF for analog throwing.

Re: All Star - Analog Sliders

I have played two more games with these, three in total. And every game has been awesome. I have played two in my Cardinals franchise vs. the Giants and I already wrote about the first one and the second one was just as good. I won 1-0 with McCllelan pitching vs. Cain. I have to admit I could score more but I have been swinging at balls a lot which is something I do at times when I am in a slump.

The other game was a classic roster Nolan Ryan vs. Pedro Martinez that ended with a 2-1 victory. I struck out 14 with Ryan and Pedro stuck me out 12 times.

Again I think the overall stats are not that different but the game play itself is completely better. No more scoring 10 runs but only hitting home runs, I actually have 5-6 hit innings. And the computer has errors and they do not hit as many home runs either.

That's great news...can't wait! I too use the Cards! My hitting just needs help. Sliders are my nemisis...just don't pick them up well, even with the offset camera (will tweek). Overall, I'm loving the challenge of this game. Doesn't and shouldn't play arcade like anyway ;o)

All I can say is thank you very much! These sliders are absolutely perfect and i've only played with them 2 innings. I have 5 hits in the top of the 3rd right now with 2 coming in the top-half. I did make a few changes...I put -1 for both wind and injury frequency. Thanks alot! Now I can stick with analog controls! w0000t

No knock to the guys that posted. But I'd like to hear some results from guys that have played more games with them. IDK I'd think 10 games would be a good measuring stick.

I've gotten through only 2 games, so I'll save my thoughts till I've played more.
