Game #6 Milwaukee @ Boston


Well what can I say seemed like it was going to be a back and forth who knows kind of game after the 1st but Lohse couldn't get anyone out in the 3rd (literally).


After getting his first hit of the season in yesterdays game breaking his 0-17 start to the season Pedroia continued to turn it around smacking doubles off the monster in his first two at bats today.


Napoli continued his monster start to the season collecting his 4th HR of the season in the 3rd.

Ok after the patch "tuned" some things with QC I'm going to run a separate chise with the Dodgers to see how these steak up with QC.

I could test them in the Boston chise I have going but feel it would be easier to keep track of it in a separate chise. Should be interesting to see how they compare to each other.

QUICK COUNTS - OFF

The Red Sox pick up their first win of the season with a well played 4-1 victory to even their record at 1-1. John Lackey pitched 7 strong innings and got help from his teammates as the Red Sox made several nice plays in the field behind Lackey. Boston grabbed a 2-0 lead in the top of the 3rd on RBI hits from Pedroia and Ortiz. Baltimore cut the defeicit to 2-1 in the bottom of the 3rd on an RBI single from Machado. The score would remain 2-1 until the top of the 7th when Bradley drove in a run with a sac fly and Grady Sizemore drilled an RBI single up the middle to make it 4-1. The Red Sox used Tazawa in the 8th and Koji Uehara slammed the door in the bottom of the 9th to pick up his 1st save of the year.

* AJ Pierzynski was 3 for 4 in the game with 3 singles

* Grady Sizemore went 2 for 4 with a triple & RBI and made a couple of nice running catches in LF

* Lackey pitched 7 strong innings to earn the win and pick up where he left off in 2013

* The teams will play the rubber match of this season opening series tomorrow with Felix Doubront on the mound for Boston against Wei-Yin Chen for Baltimore

Game #1 Dodgers @ Diamondbacks


QUICK COUNT: ON


Was a fun game, you can definitely tell they tuned the percentages at which counts are generated with QC as it led to many more 1-1 counts and allowed much much more realistic pitch count totals.


Like the way it meshed with bringing up walk and strikeout totals as they look much more realistic in this game.


I once again got bit by the small rally leading to the HR bug, only screw up all game. Was nice to see some steals in this one as well, on both sides.


The main problem with us starting a rally in this one was it seemed that all our hits came with 2 outs besides in the 4th and 9th in which we managed to score.

Game #2 Dodgers @ Diamondbacks


Not much to talk about in this one really... I mean really look at it.


Just a great pitchers duel and once again I got bit by the HR bug, however this time was a bit different than what I've been talking about as it was just a random HR on a mistake fastball not a small rally where a good pitch gets taken deep after a few hits.


I hit quite quite a few balls really hard but all but the 2 doubles by Baxter and Ethier which went over the fielders head were fairly easily caught.

Well I just became very very pissed at myself, went to save the Dodgers chise and realised when I deleted the Braves file I had been testing QC sliders with I apparently deleted the Boston file instead....

Could throw a controller through the tv at the moment, I didn't even get to get my stats off of it. Now I have to start a new chise to test without QC.

Well after playing with DD the first 30 game so of my Reds season I have switched to your sliders TNK. I used your last year and really liked them alot. I really wanted the DD to work and love the concept of it. It just didnt feel right to me. If this makes sense at all things just seemed predetermined to me. I was like if you have a really strong offensive game or two in a row you would not be able to score at all the next few games no matter who pitched against you. Things would just seem to go from really hard to really easy to really hard again and repeat. I really cant explain it but something just didnt feel right at all using DD.
Anywho i am now going to use this set for the rest of my season. I played two really fun games with this set last night.
Game 1
I beat the Brewers in my Reds season 7-6. (I never saw 7-6 games using DD)
The Brewers jumped out to a 5-0 lead after 3 and Garza was just dominating me. I had 1 hit thru 6 innings. Then i just exploded in the bottom of the 7th. I scored all 7 runs, hit 3 hrs and the Brewers used 4 different pitchers in the inning! Braun hit a solo shot in the 8th but Chapman struck out the side in the 9th and i held on for a 7-6 win.
Hits where even at 12 each and they game was fun as hell!
Game two I won 2-0.
I had 3 hits but two of them were HRS by Votto.
Cueto was jut amazing for me pitching 8 shutout innings while only allowing 4 hits and striking out 10. This game was a great pitchers duel and another fun but totally different game from the first.
I will continue to post scores and cannot wait till the PS4 game drops.
