Setup for someone away from baseball and back with

A new found love of the game. The last time I played a video baseball game was back in 2001. I play ootp every year, and am mainly a fifa, FM and pes sports game player.

So my question, and if I'm in the wrong area, forgive me, is what setup would be best for someone like me? I'm a stat head, would prefer realism to baseball stars home run blasts. Sliders, menu setup, etc... Please help an old head out

    Thanks

    Welcome back,
The show baseball games are great....for starters, I would suggest my slider set " realistic baseball" but you might want to turn the pitch speed down, till you get better at pitch regognition. I would also suggest , to keep it simple to use classic pitching and timed batting. I myself like to keep the tv screen clean and free from indicators, but feel free to set up your options the way you like....I hope this helps.
