LEGENDS rosters and O.S. rosters

Okay people.....
I've completed all the O.S. players who sent me their info .....and am getting ready to start the O.S. League franchise.
I made everyone a "B" potential player....I will use the Mets and Tigers as the two "USER" teams(but I will give control of everything to the CPU...it's just so I can see and take video of the games).
Everyone is starting in AA....and I have set the lineups so that everyone is a starter from the beginning. Will it remain that way?.... that's up to you!(well, your alter ego)
There are a couple of teams with multiple players....such as myself, RodCarew and one other guy on the Mets(me catching, RC in CF and RJ at 1B)....that should make for fun games!
I'll leave the entry open for today and tomorrow, so if you haven't sent me your info...and want in....PM me with your info. Please include height/weight....what you kind of look like(if you didn't do that originally you can do that still) and what team you would like....don't forget appearance stuff(socks/wristbands etc) and position.
I simmed one season with what I have now...and did an off-season...just to see what it would be like....should be fun! RJ....you got traded from the Mets to the Rangers! ...

Now...onto the LEGENDS roster.
I know a lot of guys want players from different generations and teams to fill the squads, I am still leaning towards full teams from different years....give me your thoughts on this guys as I will be starting once I get the O.S. Project going...

Thanks...

M.K.

Re: LEGENDS rosters and O.S. rosters

i think either way would be fantastic.. but i think i would like to see each teams "greatest players" at each position instead of the greatest "one-year team"

example:

Royals
1B: John Mayberry, Mike Sweeney
2B: Frank White, Cookie Rojas
3B: George Brett, Kevin Seitzer
SS: Freddie Patek, Kurt Stillwell
LF: Bo Jackson, Johnny Damon
CF: Amos Otis, Willie Wilson
RF: Carlos Beltran, Al Cowens
P: Al Fitzmorris,Steve Busby,Charlie Liebrandt,Bret Saberhagen,Kevin Appier,Paul Splittorff
CP: Dan Quisenberry, Jeff Montgomery
C: Darrell Porter, Mike Macfarlane

etc.

looking forward to your work!

Re: LEGENDS rosters and O.S. rosters

*** Site for All-Time Teams: http://www.angelfire.com/oh5/kahnnection/index.html *** (about half way down)

..not all of them are perfect though, a few notable names missing that come to mind were no C. Beltran on the Royals, no McGwire on the Cardinals, no R. Johnson or C. Schilling on the Diamondbacks, no A. Rodriguez on the Mariners, etc. but they may serve as a good start

Full teams would be awesome. Especially if you would let the '05 White Sox make your list

Re: LEGENDS rosters and O.S. rosters

I personally think it would be better to have a single year team. The best year of a team. Like the 86 Mets, teams like that

I would love to see beau's idea of All-Time teams.

Re: LEGENDS rosters and O.S. rosters

I like the best single year team idea more, personally...there would be less duplicate players then...maybe have the same player on 1 or 2 teams...but less likelihood of having the same guy on 3+ teams and stuff like that
