    1080p-720p

Quick question for someone who may know, I have been playing the Show in 720p since getting it on Friday, and my set is full 1080p, how much difference is it? I just wished the game would start in 1080p by default, but it doesn't, this means I have to go into the settings and just check 1080p, which I don;t wanna do because some of my other games are only 720p, if I left it in just 1080p would some of the others game I have suffer in anyway?

if your other games are 720p they won't play at 1080 anyway. I have all the resolutions checked and all my 720 games play at 720...

I understand what your saying, I too have all resolutions checked too, but The SHOW can't be played in 1080p if I don't uncheck everything and just leave 1080p checked, it wont play in 1080p by default.

Yeah, it's a pain, but as of now it is the only way to get the PS3 to play in 1080p for games that do not default to 1080p. In fact, do any games default to 1080p these days?

          I believe MGS4 did.

I just hate that I would to keep switching it.

FF- I'm pretty sure, if you leave all the non-1080p resolutions unchecked, that all your 720p games will be downscaled to 480p.

There is no real diff anyways between 720 and 1080 for me on my hdtv.

COD-World @ War automatically plays @ 1080p on my HDTV. All my other games they automatically play @ 720p. I guess The Show '09 still optimize for 720p. Can any SCEA devopler help us answer this question???

It's a pain in the *** the way it is right now. I'm sticking with 720p simply because the very slight graphics upgrade doesn't justify the hassle of changing the display setting for almost every other game. Then again, I only have a 42" display. I could maybe considering going through the trouble if my tv was in the 50, 60+ inch range.

I don't see why there can't be a display setting that plays your games in 1080p if the game supports it and you have 1080p checked in the settings. Then at the same time if you put a game in that doesn't support 1080p it should just automatically go back to 720p. C'mon sony... hook us up.

Is there really only a big difference between 1080p and 720p on bigger TV's as opposed to say a 32" TV? The reason I ask is because I'm having a tough time finding an affordable 32" w/ 1080p...everything I've found in my price range right now is 720p.

If you don't have a 46+ inch TV, your going to have to try really hard to notice a difference. It isn't even that obvious on my 50 inch plasma.

interesting cause many say 1080p looks better and even in the demo I could tell the difference.

the show 09 is both 720p and 1080p NATIVE but I guess I defaults to 720...

1080p looks significantly better on my 46" LCD Sony Bravia 120Hz

Even my girl who oculd care less noticed the difference
