How's the framerate in 1080p?
I was thinking about trying 1080p instead of 720p. Is there any framerate issues?
thanks.Tags: None -

Re: How's the framerate in 1080p?
It's definately not as smooth, but a lot of it also depends on your TV's specs and what it's native resolution is...if it's x1080 and has a fast refresh rate, it will probably be better than mine for example. My tv has a native resolution of x720 and i definately feel a bit of input lag mixed with frame rater stuttering.
on most TV's you can't even tell the difference between 1080p and 720p (unless it's like a 52+ inch TV) but if you sit over 6 feet away you won't notice the differences
in most cases, 720p is the way to go considering the game was designed for it and runs smoothest -

I have a 46" SOny Bravia 1080p w/ 120Hz refresh rate
The game looks and runs beautiful in 1080p - it does have an occasional hiccup in certain stadiums, but nothing that is even close to effecting a game or making me consider going back to 720pComment

6 nanoseconds, really? I didn't even know that they made TV's with nanosecond response times. I hope you meant milliseconds. If nanoseconds is choppy, then I definitely wouldn't play in 1080p, because mine is 4 ms, and that would seem like slow-motion.Originally posted by Aeonix01I have a 6ns response time on a good 120hz sammy tv. 1080p is smmoth with some stadiums, choppy with others.Comment

I played with it some more on 1080i (my TV actually doesn't do 1080p). It looks better, and it ran smooth but there's an input delay when pushing the buttons because my TV is struggling to upscale the picture and display the information quickly/properlyComment

This may sound crazy, but my sharp aquos seems to do better in 1080p. When in 720 it just seems a little choppy, but for some reason 1080p is smooooooth.PSN - miacanes12Comment

What Sharp Aquos do you play on dallas0112? I'm almost certain I am getting the 65" 60HZ in the next couple of months, but not sure if I should fork over the extra $$$ for the 120HZ.
I never played any game in 1080p because my current TVs only go to 1080i. The Toshiba DLP I have is 3.5 years old.

when you first fire up the game, as it loads it says to the left that the game was optimized in 720p and runs the best in that resolution. i have yet to see if that statement is true or notComment
