Batting Practice- HELP!!!!!!!!!! SCEA

Ok here is the deal...
I am in the third week of regular season in RTTS. I had three or four training sessions that worked just like they should, but something has happened.
Everytime I go to batting practice my batter never shows up!!! I thought it was just in my RTTS so I backed out and just tried the regular batting practice but same thing. I just have to exit the session everytime.
I really need some help here.

I have the same issue in RTTS. I am able to do regular batting practice mode however.

Exact same issue regarding in-season batting practice. I'm in first season of career mode. My first 3 or 4 practices were great, now for the last 3 attempts there has been no batter. It doesn't matter what settings within the practice are changed or whether or not I bypass the beginning cinematics either. I have given it 10 minutes also and no change. Music, etc. is still adjustable with no effect on batter presence. Thanks.

This happened to me the other day. It happened for probably three practices in a row and I actually quit playing for the day because of it. However, today I've played a lot and it has been working again.

I was hoping it was a random thing that wouldn't happen again, but now I'm a little worried.

Glad I found this thread. The SAME thing has happened to me in my RTTS. I even restarted the game 3 times and it did the same exact thing.

It's my 3rd training session during the regular season. I'm in my first year at the AA club. It worked fine during all the batting trainings during ST and the first of the regular season.

It doesn't "lock up". Your batter just never shows up. You can exit, switch music, blah, blah, blah...

I kept playing the season and the next training was base stealing, where it worked fine.

Just had exactly this same issue myself.

"Me" as in my batter simply isnt there, doesnt allow me to do the training in RTTS.

Utterly bizarre.

Found this solution that worked for me:

1) Stop Simulation
2) Then advance to next apperance, play that game (may have to play 2 games, I can't remember how many you can before the training session is no longer available)
3) Then "Enter Training"

This worked for me and got my batter back in the box.

I did a test before finding this, I turned auto-save off and simmed out 1-1.5 mos to see if my batter ever came back....and indeed after skipping 3 sessions he came back, then just exited out w/o saving. Did this 3 times and it was exactly the same result each time, miss 3 sessions and then back. Then re-loaded my RTTS again, I tried the above method and he was back the very next session. Haven't had this problem again luckily

Hope this works for you. This is a very frustrating bug, you miss out on some good training points. I almost quit my RTTS as well.

I'm having this same issue, and unfortunately metsfanx's workaround isn't solving it for me. My batting training worked fine for the first few years of my RTTS. I didn't begin having this issue until 2013. It's currently a crapshoot as to whether the batting training will work or not.

The only thing I can come up with as a possible reason for it is custom soundtracks. I don't remember having any issues like this before I added music to my HDD and to the in-game playlist.
