Base Stealing practice..quick queston ..

Hey guys,

I can edit/mix/cut etc songs but I just tried the base running practice mode and I can't for the life of me figure out how to dive back into the bag on a pick off attempt, I just stand there or go towards 2nd and get run down.

What is my wrong doing???

Feel stupid if it's easy.

Hi Dave,

You pull the left analog stick down. To steal, you have to hold the left analog stick up... trust me, you'll forget to hold the stick up every once in a while if you don't concentrate and find yourself in no man's land! I really like this mode; SCEA implemented it well IMO.

really that simple left stick down? I swear I tried everything..(and I am a manual reader)

the left stick down didn't work for me???
It wouldn't let me dive back to bag.
left stick up worked to steal as did the triggers to take step forward or back..hmm..tried 2 controllers..I don't get it..

I had set to "new" running instead of "classic" either way no luck.

anymore ideas?? It's not a big deal since I'll probably use auto running anyways, but I just can't get anyone to dive ack to bag he's leaving from, just stands like a statue/and/or starts running to get run down from 1st baseman.

Hi Dave,

You're talking about practicing stealing (RTTS Baserunning) that you can access in practice mode, right? I think you can even press the select button to have the controls show up on the screen.

If you're talking about during a regular game, I think it's R1... I can't verify right now though since I'm not near my PS3 at the moment.
