OMG I just found my last name in the game!!!

I am sorry if this doesn't deserve its own thread, but I am invoking moderator privilege.

I never sent back the paper work for them to include my name, so I figured it wouldn't be in. My last name is Varckette. So its like the least common name in the world lol. I am so stoked about this. Thanks Kolbe and everyone else!!

Same here buddy! I added my name to the list that was here last year, just in a thread and they added it. Its cool to think that they had to go through the trouble of recording Matts dialog and the stadium announcer just for me.

I just about flipped the first time I heard my full name spoken. Though I like the way he says "Cruz" better than "Cruise" though - it flows better with my first name.

It also says a bunch of full names for the fake minor league guys too - just adds to the immersion.

I can hear my last name in the game, but it's not spelled correctly.

Also, there are some minor leaguers that should be in the game or will be at the AA level that are not on the list of possible names, but no biggy.

It's very cool that they include a feature to select what they should say for your name, which is handy for me of course and my oddly spelled last name.

That shouldn't matter since there is both a written surname and surname pronunciation category in the player creation options.

Yep - hence my Cruz over Cruise preference. My name still shows up with the correct spelling, Matt V is just using the Cruz audio file with it.

It's great to have choices!

That was partly my point. It still says the name correctly, but I'm sure there's something neat about seeing your unique last name spelling as an option with the correct pronunciation.
