Whats your closest to a no hitter?

It was my last game in my Indians franchise. I had Scott Kasmir on the mound against John Bale. I was dominating on the mound and it was a classic pitchers duel and finally got a run in the top of the 5th on a Cabrera RBI single. I held them hitless through 5 and 2/3rds when they Pena Jr tripled to CF. I ended up losing the game 4-2. Kasmir got into a bases loaded jam in the 8th and I didn't have anybody in my pen and gave up a grand slam with 2 outs to Gordon. I was so mad. I just needed one more out! So the shut out turns into a 4-2 loss.

Sounds like the game I had the other night. I took one into the 6th with Hudson and then he just fell apart. Gave up 3 in the 6th and one in the 7th thanks to bad defense and I ended up losing 4-1

GUYS GUYS GUYS!!!!! I ALMOST GOT A NOT HITTER! I WENT 8 2/3 IP BEFORE MY 6 YEAR OLD COUSIN GOT A HIT!

No seriously, I played 2 full seasons of 08' and 07'. Never had a no hitter. This game is harder than 08' so I never expect to get one. All I want is a challenging realistic season then by that time it'll be football season.

Hey SCEA... Make a NFL Football game!

Closest I got was 6 perfect innings from Jon Lester...no hits no walks...ended the game with a complete game shutout and a 3 hitter

I know this is kinda weird, but it happened. I was in AAA with the Jays, and I've got a perfect game theough 7 innings. In the 8th it goes 1, 2 ERROR! The shortstop threw it right over the first basemens head, into the seats. The next guy clears the fences... And did I mention we lost 2-0?

I took Joel Pinerio of all people through 6 1/3 perfect innings before his perfect game/no hitter bid was broken up vs the Nats.

I took Jaime Garcia(AA) through 7 no hit innings before he lost it.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Joba vs. Cleveland, no hits until the top of the 9th, weak single to right field broke it up.

I was actually getting no-hit by Jeremy Sowers in my Reds franchise until the 8th, I finally got some hits and put 2 runs on the board but I still lost. Right up around the 5th I started feeling the pressure of getting a hit and found myself chasing bad pitches just to get one hit.

As for my closest no hitter I took one into the 6th with Aaron Harang against the Padres.

Re: Whats your closest to a no hitter?

Every time I get close, Matt V. says " I am almost jinxing it, but I need to point out there is still a zero in the hits column." Then from there, I proceed to give up a seeing eye single. So the closest I get is before Matt speaks.

There was one game when Johnny Damon, in the honor of Ben Davis (Curt Schilling's perfect game), bunted in the top of the 7th to break up a no-no. He payed for that in the 9th.

I haven't played The Show enough to come close to anything. In MVP 2004 or 2005 (forget which), I had a no-hitter through nine innings, but the game was still scoreless. I think I took the no-hitter into the 11th before it was broken up and I lost the game.

Ryan Dempster, 7.2 innings before finally giving up a hit. He was gassed at this point, so I went to the bullpen. Game was too close to risk trying to go the full 9.
