Alleged New Patch

Someone over on the SCEA boards is claiming that a new patch is to be released tomorrow. I've scoured the net but haven't been able to find any details. Does anybody have an information on it, or is this report totally bogus? Not sure how many problems they could fix in one patch, but it would be really nice if free agent players were actually draftable in league play. Oh, and if the draft actually worked correctly too. That would be great...

the important thing is for the lineup glitch would be fixed if the reports are true.

No patch on Monday. This is like a good ol' fashioned game of telephone...lol. Russell said in the RTTS Crash and Burn thread that he would be giving us an update on Monday (one he was trying to get to us by COB Friday but was shot down).

It's fair to assume it has something to do with the RTTS issues, since that's where he made mention, but beyond that assumption and the fact he will be updating us on Monday, we know nothing.

Well, that's good to hear. At least they're doing something. Like I've been saying, with as many problems as this game has right now (with many things being flat out broken), I'd be fine with halting the weekly roster updates until the game is playable. The regular season starts tomorrow (well, technically tonight, but meh), and you've got your customers all geared up to start Franchises, RttS's, and Online Leagues...none of which work correctly. SCEA's moves over the next couple weeks will greatly determine whether I even bother with MLB 10 next year. All hands on deck Sony...your ship is sinking.

Rocker are you serious or are you just trying to get a reaction? I have been playing sports games , especially baseball games since Front Page Sports and that debacle and I have never seen a game as good as this. Is it glitch free ? no, is it perfect ? no. Does SCEA bust thier butt to try to give us the best baseball game ever ? hell yes. Hey if you dont like it, you can always go MLB 2k series and if that doesnt work for ya, log on to www.icandobetter.com and list all the ways you would do it better, good luck with that. Sony your ship is sinking............give me a break

I have been playing sports games , especially baseball games since Front Page Sports and that debacle and I have never seen a game as good as this. Is it glitch free ? no, is it perfect ? no. I honestly think that people who post things like this are either spoiled, or actually believe that if they insult someone it will speed things up because we all know SCEA wants to wait on this poster hand and foot. But again, sure gonna miss him.

I agree with you here Jim. I mean, sure a few things need to get ironed out (such as the DL) but thats technology for you. Its unpredictable. I am thankful enough that SCEA did all they can to make this game the best they could. And I'll tell you this much, I am one satisfied customer (as well as thousands of others). I remember, Jim, you wrote that many of them had to spend their nights there. That is dedication right there. Thank you SCEA for your hard work.

Amen, this is their flagship game and they put sooo much detail into it.

And you know what? Yea, things go wrong and bugs pop up...but I love the fact that there's developers or representatives that post here and talk to the community, ask for feedback and work their butts off to fix everything and make things even better every year.

Personally I don't play RTTS or Franchise (just single season mode). But I'm happy to see they are working to fix the RTTS crash and hopefully they can fix the schedule issue.

I would also like to see the Citi Field walls the correct colors, along with the Texas Rangers' batting helmets being fixed to the correct color.

More chest thumping from yet another poster with a misguided sense of entitlement.

It's still the best baseball game on the market. Baseball fans are going to buy it regardless, especially if you take into consideration the reviews the other game has gotten. I don't think Sony has anything to be worried about, nor do I think idle threats mean much to them or will get anything accomplished any quicker.
