Waiting till next week to fire up?

I am, not because im not itching to get going today, i am, but because i want things to be exact roster wise, todays April 6th update will not have any of last years returning players/new imports etc because they have to play in an official 2009 game to be added to the MLBPA and then into the game. It also gives SCEA a chance to add any other players that need it/tighten rotations etc that may be a little off.

There is also the fact a patch may come out this week if rumours are true but thats not a deciding factor either way.

Who else has the patience to wait for next weeks update to start their seasons/franchises then?

I dont know yet....I'm still debating it in my mind. I just checked to see if todays rosters were released yet, but they haven't been. Its easy to wait during spring training but once the regular season starts and I see games on TV I am ready to begin.

Edit...about what time do they usually release rosters on Monday?

Interesting. I had actually read on another topic that SCEA was not releasing updates until the issues with the lineups and stat glitches were corrected since the last roster update was released. As for the patch, it's supposed to correct the RTTS crash and burn issue, I just hope they fix the lineup problem. That kills the sim aspect of this game for me.

Interesting. I had actually read on another topic that SCEA was not releasing updates until the issues with the lineups and stat glitches were corrected since the last roster update was released.

I have no idea...this could be true.

not me...I've already started..

Going home tonight to do the amateur draft. Looking forward to it.

Someone suggested starting a "fake" franchise to get the hang of it. I might do that tonight, then when the rosters come out next week (and Knight's rosters), I will start my real franchise. I am still hooked on RTTS, so it might be hard to pull myself away.

I've been playing my franchise since the weekend just to get a feel for things again. But I'll get serious after all the changes hit and start over again.

They are out, but they seem a little dated. Sheffield is a FA.

Well I can pretty much guarantee the first release by next weekend.
POSSIBLY(if I could put this word in exploding firework letters I would) by late in the week.
I'm absolutely CRUSHING the last couple of days......eating up fake players like Scooby Snacks!

It will be slightly raw(I haven't been doing any equipment changing, but have been giving random stances/motions)...but it will have every player done...most with the faces close(they will be updated).

I did an A.L. test run last night and it was so good to see real players in the League Leader rundowns for the minor leagues.
I can almost start my N.Y. Met quest for the Championship!

In a way...I'm glad it'll be a couple of day(okay a week) after Opening Day...gives me a chance to properly sort out the lineups(without totally guessing) and see about 25 man rosters and players getting released and waived.

First I was waiting on Knight's complete roster set, but now I am also waiting for this patch I keep hearing about to fix RTTS and hopefully the lineup issue.

downloaded Ridin's opening day rosters today and started my franchise.
