no real blowouts now that i've got the hang of the game, but it should also be noted, i haven't had these unrealistic late game comebacks from the CPU that some people have been reporting.

Oh yeah....I have lost my fair share of 8....9....10+ run games. A couple....ok....a few, have been 8....9....10+ run losses. On the upside, I have been increasing my run output, first two weeks I was having a problem stringing together enough hits to score period. Last night I played two games....I lost the first 8-1, Tampa Bay / Garza. R. Rowland-Smith got the loss. He gave up 6 runs on 12 hits and walking 5 thru 6 2/3. The second game I got to Cliff Lee and Cleveland early and touched him for 3 runs in the 2nd and 3 more in the 3rd. Sizemore, Choo and Hafner lit me up in the 7th with HRs....DeRosa hit one in the 8th...I managed to hang on and steal it 11-9. So yeah....a bit of scoring going on....fun game(s).

that is my problem, stringing hits together and not hacking at everything. should get better the more I play.

I just played a game. In the first inning i scored 7 runs. Then the cpu came back to score 5 runs.

          I won 7-5.

Oh yeah...you will. This game is a great example of the old adage...."practice makes perfect".

One thing thats helped me is understanding that the cpu will pitch according to the situation.

Example: runner on 2nd with 0 outs, they'll typically pitch a right-hander inside, and a lefty outside, in an attempt to keep you from hitting the ball to the right side of the field. Now this isn't written in stone and they do make mistakes, or will try to make you chase out of the zone.

And I have seen a balance of high scoring, low scoring, close games and blowouts.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

My highest scoring game was a 9-6 loss. Have played @ 40 games, still waiting for my first blowout win. When I do win, it's low scoring and tight -- 2-1, 3-2, etc.

Yeah Country...Im with ya on this one also.....I base many of my hitting decisions on the idea that the CPU is going to pitch according to the game situation. I played a game very early this morning that was a slugfest....Seattle vs Texas in Texas. Final score was 16-14 with Seattle (Me) getting the win. This is by far the most offense I have generated since I got this seasons edition.....and about time I gotta say.
