    Hitting with "High" batters cam....

I was trying to play with the standard batting cam and I was swinging too early almost every time. I just couldn't get my timing down.

Anyway, I switched to the High camera and now I can see the ball much better. I can also tell the different types of pitches better and can time my swings to go the opposite way when I need to.

If you are having problems with timing, I highly suggest checking this out.

In the other camera views is it harder to tell the ball's and strikes?

on offset it is very clear whether it is outside or inside but it can be difficult to see whether or not the ball is low

I would have to agree with this. I think I will try the high camera view just to see how it plays.

Its a little difficult to see if the ball is low, and even harder to see if the ball is high...but...that is only after 2 games.

That said, my contact has increased 10 fold. Driving the ball the opposite way is now possible for me.

Well I have to do something in my RTTS my first 2 seasons were decent but now I can't buy a hit. I droped down to rookie and maxed out my sliders and i still couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

The wide view is my favorite so far. Not offset enough to have trouble telling where the pitches are, but offset enough so you can see the break on the pitches and get a good depth of field.

I use wide as well. I find that I can pickup the pitches much better then in any other view. I really really really wish they would let us make custom batting views. I miss my tweaked HH batting view oh so much. The catcher view is too dead on for me that the ball just looks funny coming in. Offset is to weird and high is to weird for me as well.

I've been using Catcher's view, but I may again try some of the other views. I dabbled a little a few weeks back with offset and wide, and stopped using them pretty quickly (I think I found it hard to not tell if a pitch was going to miss left or right of the plate because you weren't looking at the pitcher head on).

But I do remember thinking that it was definitely easier to pick up on the break of a curveball for example, which is the pitch I have the most trouble with.

So...I may try it again to see if I can adjust.

I tried the outfield view for hitting just for the hell of it, and it wasn't bad. My team was in such a slump I didn't care and figured it wouldn't hurt. Actually like it, and it gives a nice broadcast type view of the game.

I'm also a big fan of the "wide" view. I started using it during an RTTS slump out of desparation when I first got the game.

Now when I switch back to catcher, I can't tell where the hell the ball is going! It's worth checking out if you haven't tried it.

(The only thing I miss about the catcher view is that it was prettier to look at. Maybe I'm alone on that one.)
