    RTTS Base Running

    Quick question:

To run the run the bases in RTTS, do you always just push the left stick UP to advance?

    Is it that simple?

It's mainly camera oriented. There are times(like stealing a base) where you can press and hold up to advance but that's not going to work for other situations. A lot of people had issues with this when the game first came out but, imo, the easiest way to avoid errors in base running is to always keep the left stick directed at the base you're advancing towards(i.e. rotating the left stick around the base while running to keep it directed forward). This has eliminated all running errors for me.
Laugh and the world laughs with you. Weep and you weep alone.

    NCAA: UCF Knights

      It is still broken.

Let's say you're on second. If the ball is hit in the infield, the camera dictates that you should hit RIGHT to third base.

However, if the ball is hit over your head, the camera flips, and you'll have to hit LEFT to third base.

I've had so many errors and precious seconds off my base running because of this garbage.

If you hit up as soon as the ball is it, the runner will always advance to the next base. (up at the crack of the bat)

Of course, this leads me to get doubled off on linedrive outs quite often but saves me worrying about which way the camera is going to orientate itself.

Baserunning....I'm not playing any RTTS currently.....but last night I was playing an Exhibition vs the Cardinals.....J. Piniero (CPU) picked me off 3 times over the course of a 7 innings, this has never happened before. Yeah sure, ya get picked now and then by the CPU on Legend...but 3 times? By Piniero? Maybe some RTTS is in order to tighten up my base running. In the past when playing The Road'...baserunning was the part of the game I had the most difficulty with...I got doubled off alot when liners were hit to infielders, I spent alot time focusing and experimenting with the proper lead and looking for the pitcher to tip me off. Good idea firktaf....

75% of the Earths surface is covered by water......the remaining 25% is covered by Ichiro.
