What is the fastest way to get to the show?

I'm still playing MLB 08, and just started a new RTTS. I'm playing LF and was wondering if there are any tips to get to the MLB faster. Should I spend my training points when I have them, or should I save them and make sure I use them for my advancement goals?

The fastest way? Hope someone gets injured and you get called up. Or play on ROOKIE and max all the user batting sliders out and ZERO out all the CPU pitching sliders.

I actually did this with my CF in 08 when his stats were already maxed for one season just to see what would happen. it was pretty fun, i batted .576 and hit 123 hr lol.

I play with a PSP and have it on rookie because I can't use the PCI very well. I'm on the default settings and have a SS with the Reds that became the starting SS in June 2010. My stats are good (because I'm on rookie) but my ratings are still horrible.
