Re: Dropped Fly Balls
Not yet and have played well over 100 games by now. I have seen outfielders take terrible routes to catch flyballs however (auto-fielding) -

I've seen a few, mostly in RTTS. Only one has been charged with an error though, most are when the OF is running toward the wall, sticks out his glove, and has it bounce off.Comment

Re: Dropped Fly Balls
I think The Shows version of a dropped fly ball is when your fielder is going back, you think you're going to catch it, but you don't. One of the announcers always says, "oh, he can't make the catch(play)". Then last night manny was going for a sinking line drive. It went in to the animation and the ball went under his glove and rolled to the wall. Manny also fell down and rolled around for a while.Comment

Re: Dropped Fly Balls
I actually had one yesterday. It was a little bit of a tough play, foul ball to right that was slicing away from my right fielder. It was spring training, so I had my backup RF in (and him primary position is CF). He got over to the ball but couldn't quite make the play. It ended up being a foul ball, and fortunately it didn't cost me as I got the swinging strikeout on the next pitch.Green Bay Packers | Milwaukee Brewers | Bradley Braves | Wisconsin Badgers

Same for me, I've also seen a drop on the animation where the outfielder starts falling to the ground as the ball comes in. So not a diving play per say, more sprawling I guess.Baltimore Ravens Baltimore OriolesWashington Capitals Washington WizardsMaryland TerrapinsComment

I have played 100 games so far and have yet to see a routine pop up or fly ball dropped. The only time the outfielders drop the ball is when they are reaching for it over their head somtimes or diving for the ball, but they are never charged an error for these. It would be nice to see balls get lost in the sun once in a blue moon or a can of corn fly ball dropped on occasion. I think mlb 06 was the last version of this game where you would see a routine fly dropped. Also,Comment

I have had two with Jack Cust in the first 20 games. It might have been more by now, but he broke his shin two months ago. These were not diving catches or even running catches, but simple right to him fly balls that hit is glove and just popped out. I saw Endy Chavez do the same thing against me. I saw it happen on pop ups to Nappoli I think and some other catcher I can't remember. WHile it might not happen a ton, it does happenComment

Re: Dropped Fly Balls
~ 200 games. Seen it once. Lazy fly ball, my left fielder was stationary, and it came down and looked to hit off his head or shoulder. It was in the first 10 games I played, so it feels like forever ago. I don't even remember anymore if they ruled it an error or not.Comment

Re: Dropped Fly Balls
Beltran hit one yesterday at Turner Field that Francoeur went back after and it was over his head and ticked off of his glove...
After about 27 games into my franchise, that was probably the second time I saw the opposition drop one. I've not seen a routine (as in standing in one place) fly ball dropped however
