QUIT STEALING FOR ME!!!

this is starting to piss me off.

whenever i have a runners on 2nd and 3rd with either 1 or 0 outs, the cpu always picks the fine time to want to do a damn suicide squeeze and steal home.

this happens EVERYTIME!!!

they even tried it with Manny Ramirez at bat!?!? do i look like Buck Showalter.

does anyone know any way to stop this? this is costing me runs and i have lose games because of this. i wish i could turn it off.

is this happening to anyone else?

Turn auto base running off. and if you use guess pitch dont hit L2

thats the thing, i dont use auto base running. everything is manual for me.

The controller is very sensitive in this situation, it has happened to my brother, but not me. We use the same controls.

thats the thing, i dont use auto base running. everything is manual for me.

I guess you need to be pissed at yourself then. cause the runners don't mysteriously do what they want when your in control of them.

The controller is real sensitive it seems.

The other nite, I was losing to the Mets 3-1 in the 9th. I came back against Krod by being patient and making him throw strikes. I was down 3-2 now, with 2 outs and runners on first and second.

I was real tense so I got up to get another beer before my next at bat. I believe it was JJ Hardy up to bat.

Next pitch all of a sudden my guy on 2nd takes off. They throw to third, I try to get back but get tagged at second to end the game!!!! I accidentally hit L2!!!!! Needless to say I was kinda pissy after that!!!

It's never happened to me. It's not even sensitive....you're just doing something wrong probably.

I used to have a problem like this with a runner on 3rd. It was because on guess pitch I would select the location first then the pitch type. Then I started guessing the pitch type first followed by the location and that seemed to help. Try this and see if it helps.

dont u guys know that that ur base coaches tell your players to steal bases for you when "they think" it iis appropriate? this happened in 08 as well. u dont have to press anything they just go.

thats what im talking about. i dont use auto baserunning i use Assist. thats as close to Manual as u can get in this game. I DONT PRESS ANY BUTTON TO MAKE THEM STEAL! they go own their own and they always do when i have runners on 1st and 2nd with 1 or 0 outs.

i wish Russell could chime in on this.

If you're not using GP, then I am stumped as to what may be triggering this. Sorry Rawdeal man, I don't have any other suggestions/explanations for why its occuring other than what you've said, which seems to be the case.

I know there have been reports of the guy on 3rd trying to steal home. I don't think anyone ever figured out what causes it.

I use AUTO baserunning, and I do see the CPU tell my guys at 1st to steal on occasion...very rarely though. In ~100 games I don't think I've ever seen a steal of 3rd, and I know I've never seen a steal of home.

I tried playing two games with ASSIST and just putting guys on 3rd every chance I had and I never saw the issue either....one game was with guess pitch, one game was without.

Seems to be 'intermittent' at best?

thanks u guys for trying to help. i think part of the problem is that since im playing with the Dodgers, they are more aggressive on the basepaths. therefore, my base coaches are telling my guys to steal more often.

could this be cuz i was using the NEW baserunning controls? i just switched to classic last night cuz i was tired of baserunning blunders i was getting with the NEW controls.
