Gyroball and Vulcan Change
I was looking through the strategy guide (in-game) and noticed in the appendix portion, they list all the pitches. They include the Gyroball and the Vulcan change.

Re: Gyroball and Vulcan Change
I don't think anyone has it in the game. I've looked, I haven't found it. I just find it odd that the strategy guide has those two pitches in it like they are actually in the game.Comment

When he was playing in the majors, Gagne was the one who was noted for throwing the vulcan change

Re: Gyroball and Vulcan Change
Yes and no. Yes, they are in the game, but only random Joe pitchers have them (recently encountered one having the vulcan entering the game as a pinch-hitter). No, you cannot assign them to a RttS pitcher (which I think blows). It's like they're easter egg pitches or something.Comment

Re: Gyroball and Vulcan Change
I saw someone with the VCH is RTTS as well. To me, it was just like the circle change. Probably just a different grip. And, way too many damn pitchers have the knuckleball in RTTS.Comment

Joe Nelson throws the Vulcan change, but does not in MLB 09: The Show.Comment

Re: Gyroball and Vulcan Change
A Vulcan change is a split fingered changeup. It's thrown on the seams like a split fingered fastball and has the same action but it's still a changeup.
