    Gyroball and Vulcan Change

I was looking through the strategy guide (in-game) and noticed in the appendix portion, they list all the pitches. They include the Gyroball and the Vulcan change.

Are these available for you to use? ... if not, then what pitchers in the game has them?

I would think Dice K has the Gyro, I have no clue about Vulcan Change.

I don't think anyone has it in the game. I've looked, I haven't found it. I just find it odd that the strategy guide has those two pitches in it like they are actually in the game.

        Maybe they are in RTTS?

Dice K had the gyro pitch in mlb 08, but they took it out, he doesn't have it anymore.

Joe Nelson throws the Vulcan Change, not quite sure if it's in the game though.

I saw a pitcher in RTTS had a VCH. I was like VCH? What is that. Must be this Vulcan Change u speak of but I still dont know what it does. So yea they are in the game for random AA players in RTTS.

When he was playing in the majors, Gagne was the one who was noted for throwing the vulcan change

Yes and no. Yes, they are in the game, but only random Joe pitchers have them (recently encountered one having the vulcan entering the game as a pinch-hitter). No, you cannot assign them to a RttS pitcher (which I think blows). It's like they're easter egg pitches or something.

I saw someone with the VCH is RTTS as well. To me, it was just like the circle change. Probably just a different grip. And, way too many damn pitchers have the knuckleball in RTTS.

Joe Nelson throws the Vulcan change, but does not in MLB 09: The Show.

No, they didn't. He still has it available to him, it's just not assigned (and rightfully so, IMO).

Someone throws it (Vulcan) because a few weeks (months?) ago someone posted a pic of a MLB player throwing it.

A Vulcan change is a split fingered changeup. It's thrown on the seams like a split fingered fastball and has the same action but it's still a changeup.
