The amazing, magical comeback ability of the AI is so freaking absurd. It's not even comical anymore and I'm way, way past thinking "it DOES happen in reality". My past two games have set me off and I need to vent (sorry if this post is repetitive of others).
Game 1: ATL 7 (me), PIT 5; bottom of the 9th; 2 outs (K'd first two batters with CP). Next batter, double. Next batter, double. Next batter, double. How did I go from pitching lights out to getting spanked like a child? I eventually win in extra innings, BUT...through 12 games, out of 6 save opportunities, this is my 3rd Blown Save (probably on course to shatter the BS record).
Game 2: ATL 8 (me), WAS 0; bottom of the 5th; So I'm feeling pretty confident, got a 2-hit shutout rolling with Jurrjens, and smacking everything over the plate...but I just have that familiar feeling the AI is going to pull something amazing off. Well, three innings later, and, oh yeah, SIX home runs later, WAS is up 12 - 8. So again, I go from pitching lights out to getting beat on like I stole something.
The very one thing that sends me into a complete rage about the BS CPU "magic" are the Pinch Hit Home Runs that happen like clockwork. I can literally be in the midst of staving off a rally, have a PH come to bat, and turn to my girlfriend and tell her this is going to be a Home Run. In this department here I bat 1.000. I also don't enjoy the CPU's flawless plate discipline when they "need" to come back. Not enjoyable when you literally can not set up pitches.
Soooo...I know there is a big, huge thread about CPU Comeback being turned On or Off (which I've played with it off with Psycho's sliders). My question from the thread (the main point was to vent) is should I switch Comeback to On? Because, seriously if I see any more of this garbage, I'm going to box this turd up and send it on it's way (in pieces).
