    # of AB's to qualify for batting title?

In my RTTS, I have been in the bigs the whole year, but i was a utility guy for the first month. Now I am the everyday 2nd baseman for the O's and hitting .357 for the year. I am not showing up in the league leaders for average which is understood due to lack of ab's, but I currently have the highest average in the AL.

At the end of the season will I suddenly appear on leaderboard? Most guys only have about 100 more at-bats than me.....I was wondering if there is a magic number of AB's to qualify....

I think to qualify you need to have 3.1 plate appearances or more per team game played. That equates to about 500 PA per season.

This is correct...and it actually says this on the batting average leader page.

I think 502 is the magic number. I don't know if the game recognizes it or not, but there is a rule that says you can still win the batting title if you're below the minimum number. If you finish with 487 for example, they would just add 15 ABs. Hurts your average a bit, but still possible for you to win if you don't quite get there.

Yes this is true. I don't think The Show takes this into effect, though. Tony Gwynn won the batting title one year while finishing with 498 PA.
