Home Runs - Best way?

Hey Guys,

i have found it hard to hit homeruns.. anything anyone do to get good results? (on hall of fame)

Believe it or not.....I just swing. I will use the left stick and lay on low pitches, but I'm one of those "swing only" guys, don't use guess pitch, nothing. Dunn is third in homeruns in my franchise (I play one game a day/current day schedule) with 29.
Never use the power swing either. Go figure, lol.

The most important thing is to wait for the right pitch...if you can work ahead in the count, you'll usually get a good pitch to hit. Patience was the hardest thing for me to learn in this game.

Yeah, patience probably plays one of the biggest roles in hitting home runs. Try to work the count as much as possible and don't be afraid to lay off strikes in the cornerns, or to just focus on one pitch in a certain area of the strike zone. Btw, I never use the power swing either.

When my number 3 and 4 hitters comes to the plate I hit influence up and to the right or the left I hit about 80% of my home runs that way.

ive been doing this lately and it has been helping.

usually though i wait for the inside fastball and crush it. i power swing when i get in hitters counts or when i see fastball away to drive out in the opposite field.

I didn't realize you could influence the direction. I thought it was just up or down with the right stick. What else don't I know...

Up & Left for hitting em in the air to left field
Down & left for hitting a ground ball to left field

Up & Right for hitting a fly ball to right field
Down & right for ground balls to right field

Power swing. I'm on Legend with power at -3 (2/10) and I'm usually in the top 5 teams for HRs.

I heard the harder you push the button the better chance you have. Someone should test it.

No secrets. A lot of people think the swing influence does not work because they do not get the desired results every time. The system needs other factors to be in place for the desired result to take affect. Also, many think it is just for bunting and fly balls which is also not the case.
