Anyone else excited for the new replay editor?

This is probably my favorite feature that SCEA has announced thus far. I constantly saved replays and uploaded them to my computer but never really ended up editing them together.

Now having the ability to edit multiple clips together as well as adding effects and other effects should make it even better.

I can promise you guys that I will be editing some of the greatest videos you have ever imagined. I may even take requests

I'll love it, but didn't they say it's only like a ten clip highlight reel?

I just hope that they allow for the RTP to be part of the recording. I hated that a HR cut scene was cut short because it was a cut scene.

Agreed. I also hope they allow you to follow the ball. I hated how if you were tracking the ball with the replay it would just stop at the wall.

That would be nice (and should make sense). Think of it like a basketball video game, where you can, say, rewind the past two minutes of play or so (I don't know if that's true). Imagine if basketball "reloaded" after every bucket, and you could only replay up to the last inbound or what have you. This is similar to baseball video games of the now where you only get to see one pitch, or one batter. Hopefully, with real-time integration, we are able to go back "the past two minutes" of whatever stuff has unfolded, especially a home run trot (something 2K failed to deliver on with real-time).

It would be really cool too if the replay highlights at the end of the game could be saved as is on the HDD as well.

I second this. Additionally, it would be cool if we could select individual replays to be added to a Week in Review-style show. That's probably a few years away, but I think it could be doable. Just have an option when saving a clip to "Include in highlight package," and then have the game compile them all into a highlight reel at the end of the week. Then of course give us the opportunity to download those end-of-week highlight packages.
