i thought it would be the same but i guess it isn't... i apologize for my "why on earth...?!" comment then lol
np man
720 defilanty ran smoother framrate wise for me.. but 1080 looked a lot sharper and cleaner... i used 1080 on 09 except in some stadiums like yankee stadium..so i wonder if this problem is gone in 10...
I played the show 10 in 1080p today and framerate is either near perfect or completely perfect, in my opinion. I did get all the stutteing with MLB 09 and the new game doesn't feel anything like it. However, I do get to see some weird pixels. The edges are not as sharp as with 720p, etc. Is that what anti-aliasing was all about? Smoothing edges, etc? If so, then I guess that anti-aliasing has been reduced/eliminated in 1080p to improve framerate. That is just a guess, I am no specialist in the subject.
The pixelation, however, does not affect framerate and therefore does not affect gameplay.

Thats what i wanted to hear rod!
Thanx a lot for the info
about the smoothing the edges, try lowering the sharpness of the tv, might help no?
For anyone that has tested it, is it any smoother than 09 was?
thanx a lot
I have been playing The Show 10 on 1080p. Last year ran smooth and this year runs smooth. I did notice an improvement in the slight flashing from last year. It really looks like AA is working on 1080P, as the jaggies are few so far.

I always keep sharpness at 2/3 maximum (out of 20, maybe?)
It is indeed better, Brunnonce, except for the "pixels" but once you've played for over 5 minutes you don't notice them that much anymore. It is totally working, I would say. I tried new Yankee Stadium, Target Field, Jacobs Field (haha!) and others (including Minor league stadiums). It all worked perfectly.
